Clinical Data Warehousing Services

Medicity offers real-time clinical information for payor analytics and timely clinical intervention.

Warehoused clinical data:

		Can be hosted by Medicity or self-hosted
		Receives and sends data in either real-time or in batch mode (all internal processing is done in real time)
		Supports data transmission via TCP/IP (usually over a VPN), FTP (using PGP-encryption), SCP, and web services
		Supports standard formats like HL7 2.x and 3, X12, as well as legacy and custom formats like XML, NSF, and flat files

Medicity can send a single, uniform feed to an existing data warehouse and can also populate Medicity data marts.

Medicity’s Payor Gateway standardizes clinical messages into a consistent format as specified by the payor organization. For example, the Gateway can:

		Acquire lab and pathology results in a variety of formats from commercial and hospital labs
		Standardize result identifiers using LOINC or other nomenclature
		Normalize data elements such as result status (normal, abnormal, critical) and units of measure
		Scrub and validate diagnosis and CPT codes

Medicity’s Payor Gateway filters data to improve accuracy. The Gateway can:

		Remove duplicate results
		Filter out preliminary results
		Run results thru an MP³I using a pay0r's member database as a reliable source of patient information
